OOUG stands for Obscure or Otherwise Unknown Games, reflecting the main purpose of the website. This acronym was created for two reasons. The first is that it's easy to remember which ensures a nice website name, the other is that it represents the exact nature of what the website should accomplish.

History

OOUG started in 2010 as a small project for the creator to learn the HTML programming language. The content was what he used to keep him interested, but it quickly became a goal to bring information about obscure games to all players.

OOUG is currently compiling information and growing larger as time moves on.

Goals

OOUG aims to bring to light obscure games. The ultimate goal is to be a reference for those seeking to find information on video games that aren't available in the United States specifically, but hopefully all players across the world will be given the information they need to satisfy their urge to play video games.

Purpose

OOUG aims to be an encyclopedia for all video games that exist with an emphasis on obscure video games. It hopes to accomplish this by:
